Join The Laurel Center on Thursday, October 5th from 7 pm to 8pm at the Winchester Frederick County Joint Judicial Center for The 32nd Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month Candlelight Vigil. Each year in the U.S., thousands of victims of domestic violence are killed by their partners. Through song, speech, poetry, and inspirational survivor stories, we will honor those lost and celebrate survivors. Please join The Laurel Center by lighting a candle to bring awareness to domestic violence in our community.

Join us Saturday, October 7th for the 16th Annual Walk and Wag to End Domestic Violence. This event will take place at the beautiful 2-mile walk around Chet Hobert Park in Berryville, VA. This is a dog-friendly event, so bring your four-legged friend along! Even if you don’t have a pet, come out to enjoy the nice fall weather and support survivors of domestic and sexual violence in our community.

Tickets are $25 for an individual walker, $125 for a Team (up to 6 walkers), and children under 5 walk for free. There will be donuts, coffee, door prizes, & a dog costume contest!
All proceeds benefit the individuals and families who use The Laurel Center services. The Laurel Center is a dual program offering services to victims of both domestic and sexual violence in Winchester City and Clarke, Frederick, and Warren counties. The Laurel Center empowers those affected by domestic and sexual violence by providing emergency shelter, advocacy, outreach, support services, education, and awareness.
