The Effects of Domestic Violence on Children class is held the last Monday in the month, except May and December. (Weather permitting)

The location is subject to change, so please call us 540-667-6466 to confirm time and location.

Currently located at the Winchester Medical Center North Tower, Classroom A.  Parking garage 2 is free and directly across from the entrance.

Class begins promptly at 6:30pm and no admittance past that time. No children are allowed, nor is childcare provided. 

The class is free and education based.

Domestic Violence Support Group

Choosing Me - A Healing Support Group for Victims & Survivors of Domestic Violence

1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month - Group runs from 4 - 5:30 pm

This group is appropriate for any individual who is currently experiencing or has experienced intimate partner violence. Yes, all forms of domestic violence count! Domestic violence includes mental/emotional abuse, physical abuse, and sexual abuse. It provides a safe place to consider the effects of abuse on your life while providing social support and positive feedback from other victims/survivors. The overall goals of the group are to restore a more hopeful outlook while empowering you with healthy coping strategies. It is designed to be "drop in" meaning you can attend each session or just when you need support. Please call before participating the first time to make sure the group is a good fit for your needs.
